Board Chairman

Patrick (Pat) has been at the heart of Solace House from its beginning. He served as the organization’s founding CEO and has held the role of Chairman of the Board since 2012. Pat’s commitment and leadership has enabled Solace House to become the invaluable community resource it is today. 

Pat is the Founder and CEO of McGowan Builders, a leading construction firm serving the Tristate area. Prior to starting Mc Gowan in 2001, he worked in all levels of the construction trade including, laborer, foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager, VP of Marketing and President of a large, regional construction firm.

Pat holds two degrees from the New Jersey Institute of Technology — an Associates degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management & Engineering Technology.
