Marketing & Events Coordinator

Solace House is an exciting growing non-profit service seeking a qualified part-time marketing & events coordinator to join our team! We provide free one to one, confidential counseling for individuals who are experiencing suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety and/or engaging in self-harm. Bereavement counseling is available for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. We also offer family support and community awareness workshops and training.

As we continue to grow as an organization, Solace House offers the opportunity for the right candidate to be an essential and valued part of our team as we better build out our organization’s services and capabilities.

Hours: 10-15 part-time, flexible hours; can work remote, but events must be attended in person. 

The ideal candidates will:

  • Demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills

  • Experience working in fundraising/event management 

  • Experience in event marketing (email and/or social media marketing)

  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills 

  • Be flexible with working hours which may include weekend and/or evening events 

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once in a detail-oriented, fast paced role 

  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently 

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of fundraisers/events with outcomes that tie back to organizational goals

  • Creation of event materials (outreach templates, social posts, and more) to successfully drive registration and attendance.

    • Ideal candidate has some knowledge of graphic design

  • Management of event logistics including: sourcing venues and activities, managing guest lists and event websites, coordinating with internal teams to create event content, and managing external vendors

  • Sourcing vendors, materials, and activities within a set budget

  • Ideation and execution of creative and unique virtual and in-person experiences for each event

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work across all internal teams

  • On-site event logistics

  • Social media posts, organizational email blasts and content creation

  • Branding

    • Ensure cohesiveness across all digital platforms (website, social media, etc) and printed material (brochures, signage, etc.)

  • Outreach 

    • Source organizations to connect with for clinical referrals.

    • Source funding opportunities (events, sponsorship)
