The Solace Sunrise Virtual Walk/Run takes place to raise awareness for suicide prevention & mental health. Anyone in the world can join from their own neighborhoods & send in photos, videos, or messages throughout the day on June 12th!
While we will host several in person SSW walks this year, we know not everyone is ready to gather in groups. Our walk's priority is for everyone to be able to get outside, get some fresh air, reflect on their own mental health, and remember those we may have lost from suicide. So if you would still like to participate, we encourage you to find a companion and get out there! To ensure your safety, we recommend walking after the sun has risen or with a group of people. Feel free to share photos, videos, or words of encouragement which we'd be happy to share on our social media pages.
Our mission is to create awareness for suicide prevention, remove the stigma of mental health, and reinforce the message: you are not alone. We continue to ensure our work supports those who are struggling with their mental health, especially right now. So let use this day as a reminder to look out for each other, take time for yourself, and to remember anyone we've lost along the way.
